Welcome to Stearley Heights Elementary School, Home of the Mighty Dolphins. We are a school comparable in size to an average neighborhood elementary school in the U.S. Our school campus sits on the top of the Stearley Heights housing area on Kadena Air Base. The school facility, built in 1984 and has an established reputation for being a fine learning environment. SHES has a fully certified, experienced and highly motivated staff. Every effort is made to maintain class sizes conducive to learning and student success. We offer a fine array of curricular classes to include specialized instruction in Art, Music, PE, Spanish, and the culture of our Host Nation. We also host a full compliment of support classes such as Gifted and Special Education.The school, through its active PTO, also hosts a wide variety of activities during the year, to include the Hoe Down and a carnival, among many others. There are several clubs for students of all ages that support the learning environment and provide enrichment activities.
We are extremely proud of our students, as they routinely score well above the national average on standardized national assessments. It is our hope that you and your children will join in the community partnership we so enjoy at Stearley Heights Elementary School, and contribute to our tradition of excellence.
